Veille de Noël, seule dans l’appartement, je fais défiler les scènes en jouissant de mon droit de téléspectatrice : zapper d’une chaîne à l’autre. Je réécris les histoires que j'ai observées, que je dépouille des artifices spectaculaires, pour dresser un paysage où fiction, réalité, exceptionnel et banalité cohabitent
au même niveau, celui des préoccupations ordinaires.

On Christmas Eve, alone in my apartment, I sat on the sofa, scrolling through channels, flipping from one scene to another. I rewrite the stories I observed, combing through the spectacular gimmicks, to paint a landscape where the fiction, the reality, the extraordinary, and the mundane coexist on the same plane — the realm of ordinary concerns.
