L'appartement d'Irène est vieux, pas autant qu'elle, mais il est moins en forme et doit être rénové. Alors qu'elle pensait que son prochain déménagement serait au cimetière, elle déménage dans l’appartement
d’à côté, sur le même palier. Irène traverse cette période inattendue, partagée entre l’optimisme lié à l'idée d'aménager un nouvel espace à son âge, et le sentiment particulier d’assister de son vivant à des travaux qui estompent ses souvenirs.

Irene's apartment is old, not as old as she is, but it is in not so good condition and needs to be renovated. She thought her next move would be to the cemetery, but instead, she moved into the neighbouring apartment on the same floor. Irene navigates this unexpected period, torn between the optimism of arranging a new space at her age and the strange feeling of witnessing renovations that blur her memories during her lifetime.
